The Narrow Fold range is the ultimate single disc seeder for those looking for versatility and maneuverability. Whether you are a grazier needing to achieve excellent penetration into hard, compacted ground, a contractor who operates in various crops or you’re a farming enterprise looking for low maintenance and reliability over thousands of hectares, the Narrow fold has options to suit your operation.
The Narrow fold’s 12mm fully powder coated frame is Australian made and heavy enough to effectively penetrate hard compacted ground. A sturdy and robust frame allows this design to include a Gason 3200L rear mounted bin which comes standard consisting of a low box height to make filling boxes a breeze. The reason for having a rear mounted bin over the rear axle is the ease in which an operator can empty what’s left in the bin and eliminate climbing or reaching over units to make calibrating safer.
Another feature is the ability to have narrow row spacing, starting from 150mm (6”) to give farmers excellent ground cover for pastures or can be manufactured wider for cereal croppers. The logistics surrounding the transport of machines can be daunting, so we made sure the narrow fold could fit through narrow gates or roadways with a transport width of 3m to give the operator reassurance that no time will be waisted moving from one paddock to another.
We also offer an option to upgrade to the Gason 5100L bin for large scale farmers and better yet a Hi-lift walkthrough frame option making servicing and calibration to this model an easier experience than ever before. Another option for those without three point linkages or who would rather minimal weight on the back of their tractor is the Front Castor Wheel model. It comes with all the great aspects of the standard NF frame but with front castor wheels to utilise the tractors draw bar and not linkage.

Narrow Transport Width
With a narrow 3m folded width the NF is quick and easy to get around from farm to farm. 12ft gateways are no concern and there is no need for an escort either.
Versatile
Being able to be configured in 5m, 6m and 7m configurations along with a range from row spacings from 157mm and up, means that no matter what the job is at hand, there is an Ultisow NF to suit.
Maneuverable
With its 3PL hitch & its reduced frame length the Narrow Fold Series 2 is more maneuverable than ever. Tight turns at the headlands are a breeze whilst it remains stable and easy to reverse into corners. And its easy to hook up!
Quality Strong Frame
Heavy construction 8” x 8” x 12mm RHS main frame with fully reinforced 6” x 6” x 9mm RHS wings. The frame is fully powder coated with a 3 stage process including a undercoat which adds to the robustness of the finish.
The special Series 2 step-down section at the rear keeps the box height down, making it easier and safer for filling.
Simple Pressure Control
The Narrow Fold is fitted standard with a hydraulic valve with manual adjustment and pressure gauge to allow the operator to change the amount of pressure supplied to the row units.
This gives them the ability to setup the machine for various soil types & sowing conditions.

ULTISOW NF Hi-Lift Frame
With the outstanding success and positive customer feedback from our launch of our Ultisow S12 Hi-Lift Single Disc Seeder Bar in early 2020, we had numerous calls from new and existing Narrow Fold customers asking if we were going to be doing something with the NF frame to make it easier to service and adjust the units. WE LISTENED!
The NF Hi-Lift Frame option which includes a new designed rear axle and frame configuration that has two large hydraulic cylinders that allows the frame to lift up to give approx. 1,500mm underframe clearance.
Each lift cylinder can be tapped off for added safety when working under the frame when it is in the lifted position. Not only did we fit the lift cylinders but we also added 150mm extra frame to further increase the clearance between the front and rear rows.
So there will be no hassle getting under and around the machine for adjusting the units, servicing the units, emptying the seed box or even fitting the calibration tray to the Gason metering system. The benefits are endless.
NOTE: THIS IS A FACTORY OPTION ONLY AND CAN NOT BE RETROFITTED TO EXISTING NF SEEDERS.
Grainline Folding Loading Auger
5" & 6" Grainline Folding Loading Auger
The 5m x 5″ & 6m x 6″ Grainline split & folding auger is mounted to the left hand side of the Gason 1230IM box (5″) and Gason 1250IM box (6″) for loading both the seed and fertiliser bins.
By having the auger split and folding, it has helped us keep the overall length down as well as give us enough length to have the auger maneuverable enough to work in almost any condition.
A super strong mounting bracket and locking mechanism ensures that this will last the test of time. Just ask your Serafin Salesman for a price!
Retrofittable to Narrow Fold Series 2 seeders with Gason 1230IM & 1250IM mounted box

Common options for the SM Row Unit
D-Cup Air Diffuser
Not standard but highly recommended are the D-cup plastic air diffusers which are fitted to the row unit to allow for higher rate of air flow to reduce blockages as well as reduce seed bounce.

Serafin Ultiforce is a low-maintenance hydraulic down pressure system with it’s own cylinder. It allows for more consistent down pressure, reduced row-unit vibration and increased durability, improving seed placement.
Needham Press & Gauge Wheels
New for 2021 we can offer now both the Needham V8 firming wheel and Needham Urethane Gauge wheel options for our SB2019 Disc Opener.
The V8 firming wheel is known for its longevity and ability to flex so that the press wheel continually gives the optimum seed to soil contact.
The Gauge Wheel is also very long life and quality bearing system.
Serafin Spiked Closing Wheel
Serafin’s own Spiked Closing Wheel replaces the standard smooth closing wheel. It provides some tilth next to the seed slot that assists with closing the seed slot more efficiently in harder conditions.
It also reduces the amount of closing wheel bounce resulting in more even, consistent closing wheel down pressure
Individual Small Seeds Placement kit
Allowing the operator to sow pasture seed and canola through a separate seeding tube that runs along the press wheel arm and places the seed into the seed slot once the press wheel has gone through.
This separates the main seed / fertiliser from the small seed plus sows this at a very shallow depth, independent to the main seed depth.
An upgrade option over the plastic D-cup diffusers is the Serafin Stainless steel diffuser,
Working on similar principles as the D-cup but with a longer life and stronger housing.
It also has a rubber cap that fits neatly onto the stainless steel housing, ensuring that it doesn’t vibrate off or have latches that break. And has optional shield as shown
The narrow gauge depth wheel hub on the new Serafin SM are now able to offer the BUCO narrow gauge wheel with the open 3 spoke hub.
This means that whether you are chasing the narrow spacing on the unit or just wanting to have a smaller footprint on the ground, you can still benefit from the SM open hub design.
Manutec Single Press Wheel
Replacing both the small BUCO press wheel and the cast closing wheel is the single arm with 15″ Manutec press wheel.
This works very well in soft, sandy conditions where the seed slot closes over itself. It is low maintenance and long wearing.
Manutec Mud Razor Gauge Wheel
A complete replacement of the standard BUCO depth wheel is the Manutec Mud Razoe option.
Fitted with a 4 1/2″ solid rubber wheel with an inbuilt metal scraper ring on the inside, this gauge wheel works well is muddy conditions.
Available on the Serafin SM unit is the Ryan NT (formerly RFM NT) Spring gauge wheel. Featuring improved resistance to mud build up and less weight.
The flex in the steel spring ensures that any mud build up will release, keeping the unit turning in the most sticky conditions.
GASON 1230IM MOUNTED BIN
1230IM Black Series
Featuring a 3,200lt 2 bin with 50/50 split, fully variable rate with electric drive, Series One metering system, and a Farmscan 7500 touch screen as standard. It is simple to operate, easy to calibrate & accurate.
There are many options for this including different monitor options and blockage sensor kits. The 380L pasture box is optional.
It also has a low oil requirement of 75L / min.

Topcon Apollo ISO kit
Topcon Apollo ISO kit that will work with any ISO terminal such as the John Deere Gen 4 terminal, ISO ready TRIMBLE screens or Topcon X35 displays. This does away with the standard Farmscan 7500 controller.
Pasture Planter
Separate 380lt Pasture Planter. This can be plumbed into the main seed tube, with Serafin’s Individual Small Seed Placement kit OR with a combination of both.
Gason Air warmer kit
Gason Air warmer kit which heats the air by taking heat from the hydraulic oil thus reducing potential for damp air causing fertilizer blockages.
