GDOB-S: SUPER BY NAME, SUPER BY NATURE

The GDOB-S (Super) hails from the original GDOB model and has been modified to make it perfect to handle our harsh Australian conditions. Work between Baldan and Serafin Machinery started in 2016 on developing the “Super” series and in 2018 the first unit arrived in Australia. Since then they have become extremely popular world wide including South Africa who are a massive importer. This success is due to the fact it is much stronger, heavier and robust than the previous design.

Baldan’s GDOB-S 90 plate configuration has a working 12m. It has a double skin frame for extra weight and strength, as well as a unique floating centre section to handle undulating ground. The new Super model includes the addition of hydraulic accumulators and relief valves fitted for the hitch that reduce frame stress in undulating ground conditions. It has also received larger hydraulic fold cylinders to compensate for the extra weight.

10x 400/60×15.5 tyres for excellent flotation

28″ x 7.5mm Scalloped Discs standard (optional 30″ x 7.5mm)

Super model now has hydraulic accumulators fitted to the hitch mount. This makes the machine able to handle undulating ground better.

Centre frame can pivot up and down, allowing the machine to follow the contours of the ground much better than a rigid centre frame.

Strengthened drawbar with swivel tongue with spring & chain assembly for easy hook up

270mm (Approx 10 1/2″) disc spacing for optimum trash flow, penetration and level of cut. Not only does it dig well but it also handles heavy stubble loads whilst still leaving a nice finish.

Heavy Duty axles for the wheel assemblies and hydraulic lift / lower of the frames. Ram Stops are also supplied for safely transporting the machine.

GDOB-S has larger hydraulic fold rams than previous models to compensate for the additional weight.

A 24″ Furrow filler disc is included that helps leave a smoother finish, pass to pass

An Oversize Sign is fitted standard

Long Life, Zero Maintenance Oil Bath Bearings with Duo-Cone Seals & Double Taper Roller Bearings means more time working.

Accumulators On Hitch

By fitting dual hydraulic accumulators to the hydraulic system on the hitch, this helps take out some of the stress in undulating ground conditions.

Upgraded Drawbar

The drawbar has been strengthen with larger steel sections and gusseting. The drawbar tongue has also been upgraded with the new spring and chain assembly for easy hookup.

Pivoting Centre Frame

The two centre sections frames are joined with a pivot assembly that allows the operator to remove the lock pins and let the two sections to articulate. This is extremely effective in undulating ground conditions.

Extra Spool Mud Scrapers

Additional mud scrapers have been added to the GDOB. New Spool Mud Scrapers have been added to keep the centre spool clean. The original disc scrapers continue to keep the discs clean as well.

Strengthened Frame

Larger double “C” section frame with increased plating and gusseting has resulted in a superior frame that is stronger, heaver and more robust than ever.

Large Tyre Package

A heavy frame needs a good tyre package to be able to cope with the weight and stresses put on them during transport and field operation. The GDOB-S is fitted with 10x 400/60×15.5 flotation tyres which match up perfectly.
