After the success of our SB2019 single disc row unit in March 2019, we shifted our focus to a new range of seeder – the new Serafin Ultisow Hi Lift.
The Serafin Ultisow Hi Lift complements our existing line of seeders and incorporates features our customers have been requesting over the past few years.
1600mm of underbar clearance
The Hi Lift can hydraulically lift approximately 1,000mm higher than our existing standard bar, allowing easier access to the row units. You now have 1,600mm of under-bar clearance which lifts up the row units to a comfortable working height, making maintenance and adjustment faster, easier and safer.
Two or three ranks of row units
We designed the Hi Lift to be built with either two or three ranks of row units, allowing row spacing down to 150mm without compromising trash clearance. Previously a standard Serafin Ultisow could achieve 158mm spacing over two rows but the spacing was very tight. By adding the option for a third row it has given us the ability to offer a slightly narrower row spacing whilst keeping the units open enough to work on easily.
All the strength, weight and penetration of our Ultisow seeders
Our Serafin Ultisow seeders are known for their strength and weight, and this is the same for the Hi Lift frame design. The Hi-Lift comes in either 9m or 12m sowing widths and already has 3m wheel centres for those on controlled traffic farming (CTF). The frame is built from strong 9mm thick steel which has been powder coated using a three-stage process ensuring the frame lasts a lifetime.
We took into consideration that some customers may not require a hydraulic rolling bar for controlling the down force onto the row units, so the Hi Lift is designed to work with or without the rolling bar.
When coupled with our SB2019 row unit, Australian farmers have access to one of the most reliable, easy to maintain, easy to adjust, and most versatile single disc seeders on the market.
We are excited to announce that the first Hi Lift has already been sold and is heading to Canowindra, NSW specifically for broadacre cropping. This farmer is an existing Serafin Machinery customer, so we are excited that our brand is recognised and leading the charge in the seeding and tillage industry in Australian Agriculture.
